I completed the Challenge on Christmas Eve and what I took away from this round was that Giving and Receiving are linked. I gave this time from my heart. What I received was a new outlook and so much more. Life is so short and we can get caught up in the day to day "stuff" so easily. I am learning that it is critical for all of us to give and be open to receiving for without the second part of this process the act of giving is just that an act. This experience has taught me so much and I will continue to do this Challenge, but I have also decided that I am open to random acts of kindness and sharing my "attitude about gratitude" to all. I also know I am human and occasionally slip into old habits, but by recognizing them I am growing. I believe we all make a difference and this year I choose to focus on strengths and watching the ripple effect I have on those around me.
