At the end of 2013 I lost my sister Deb and entered into 2014 mourning the loss of my big sister. I suddenly realized that most of my family was no longer on this earth and it was just my mom and I left. When I came to this realization I chose to take the next year to spend with mom, not worry about building my business, not worry about anything, but just be present. 2014 was a year that allowed me to heal, to open up myself to all the possibilities that are out there. I took the time to heal myself. I took the time to listen to my mom's stories from her childhood to adulthood. I opened myself to just be in the moment. I pushed aside all the "what if's", and "how am I going to..." that we are programmed from an early age to have in the back of our head. Instead I gave myself permission to put myself and my mom first. I am still learning to be mindful and will always be open to learning this skill and because I took this time I realized the nothing can replace the time we spend with those we love. We never know when that person will be gone from our life. I encourage everyone to take some time in 2015 to just be present with those you love.
I am now ready to engage and have limited space for coaching clients, you see I am still making the time for myself and my mom, yet I know in my heart that I am ready to have clients back in my life. So if you are ready to challenge your self this coming year and are looking for a coach who encourages you to grow, yet also encourages you to take time for those you love and for your own self care then contact me for a consult. My wish for everyone is that they take the time to be present, take the time to care for their own needs and take the time to spend with those you love. Here's to a glorious 2015!
