Part of life means that you face death. One of my class assignments for wellness coaching was to write my own obituary. At first I thought "wow I am really ready to do this?" Then I sat down, took a deep breath and just let the words flow out of me. So here it goes:
I ask that you do not mourn my passing from this time on, for I will be with you in your thoughts and in your memory photo album. I ask that you remember the laughter and the joy that each day brings. Remember that each day brings so many opportunities to reach out with gratitude to those around you. Remember to give means also to receive. Be open and receive my final gift that I give with the utmost gratitude. Remember to take each day "One Day at a Time, One Step at a Time and One Breathe at a Time." |
