This past year has taught me what it means to be an advocate for the elderly. If we are not there to lend support and demonstrate that they have individuals watching out for them I wonder what would happen? There are some great facilities and individuals out there who are really behind what they do and then there are some that are just there to collect the money. It is up to us as caregivers and advocates to weed out which are which and to let them know that we are there to watch over, guide and protect our elders. After all that is what they have done
